Mr Diagonal’s new show is a delicious musical comedy reserved for all those who savour an exquisitely relaxing time. The Scottish singer Daniel Barbenel becomes our personal tour guide and takes us on a private visit of his museum of the impossible. From nursing home to antedelluvian abbys we set off to discover his pantheon of mythological creatures : little-known, yet shockingly real. Accompanied by enthusiastic musicians drawn from the cream of the Brussels scene (Fanfare du Belgistan, les Istes, Operation Dupont, Orange Kazoo), Mr Diagonal plays his music shot through with English pop, surf and geriatric nursery rhymes. A show for all lovers of ahistorical costume drama, british humour and inclassable music, for all those who have never read Claude Levi Strauss, and for all who have known and loved Mr Jack, Mr Bean and Mr Ben.
